The Hokies defeated rival VMI, 105-92, in Cassell Coliseum on Monday night.
The 105 points is the most scored by Tech in a regular season game since Dec. 7, 1994, a 110-75 win over VMI in Cassell Coliseum.
A Young Captain
James Johnson has named freshman Ben Emelogu a captain for the 2013-14 season.
C.J. Barksdale returned to the Virginia Tech line-up in the win over VMI following his three-game suspension. He came off the bench with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Tech will face either Seton Hall or Oklahoma in the Coaches Vs. Cancer Classic in the Barclays Center on Saturday night.
