    Virginia Tech returns to Cassell Coliseum on Wednesday night, as they host Wake Forest in an ACC match-up. The game, to be televised on regional sports networks, tips off at 7 p.m.

    About Tonight’s Game

    The Hokies are 8-9 on the season and 1-4 in ACC action.

    The Demon Deacons are 12-6 overall and 2-3 in the ACC after a 61-53 loss at Clemson on Saturday.

    The Hokies lead the all-time series, 29-28.

    Notre Dame 70, VT 63

    The Hokies lost at Notre Dame, 70-63, in Purcell Pavilion on Sunday night.

    Devin Wilson and Cadarian Raines each posted career-highs of 20 points in the loss.

    Joey van Zegeren had a career-high six blocked shots for the Hokies.

    Christian Beyer earned his first career start for the Hokies.

    Scoring 1,000

    With his first three-pointer in the loss to #2/2 Syracuse, Jarell Eddie became the 44th player in school history to score 1,000 career points.

    Eddie currently has 1,018 points at Virginia Tech and is 43rd in career scoring for the Hokies.

    Injury Update

    Adam Smith (left calf strain) and Ben Emelogu (right ankle sprain) are both listed as questionable for tonight’s game.

    Stepping It Up

    Devin Wilson has made four of his six three-point field goals and 15 of 28 field goals in Calendar 2014.

    The Clemson game was the 2,500th game in Virginia Tech men’s basketball history.
