Tech looks for third consecutive victory
Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina A&T Game Notes

Virginia Tech concludes its season-opneing four-game homestand on Tuesday night, hosting North Carolina A&T in Cassell Coliseum. The game tips at 7 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN3.

About Tonight’s Game

The Hokies enter tonight’s game 2-1 on the season ... North Carolina A&T is 0-5 this season.

Last Time Out: VT 76, VMI 52

The Hokies used a strong second half to defeat VMI, 76-52, in Cassell Coliseum on Saturday night ... Five Hokies scored in double figures, led by Seth Allen with 17 points ... Zach LeDay recorded his second double-double in three games with 13 points and 10 rebounds ... Tech out rebounded VMI, 49-37 and held the Keydets to just 25.7 percent from the field.

Series Against The Aggies

The Hokies are 4-0 against North Carolina A&T, all played in Cassell Coliseum … Tech won the last meeting, 94-66, in 2005 … The Hokies are 27-0 all-time against members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

That’s Low

The Virginia Tech defense stepped it up in the win over VMI ... Tech allowed the Keydets to shoot just 25.7 percent from the field for the game, including just 20.5 percent (eight of 39) in the second half ... The 25.7 percent allowed is the lowest by a Buzz Williams-coached team and the lowest by the Hokies since Dec. 10, 2012, when Tech allowed Mississippi Valley State 25.7 percent from the floor.

An Active Night

In the Hokies’ win over VMI, Johnny Hamilton had his first big game for Tech ... The junior college transfer set career-highs with eight points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots in the game, playing in 16 minutes of action.

Stepping Up for the Hokies

With the injury to Devin Wilson, Justin Robinson has been asked to play a big role for the Hokies in the early season ... Robinson has started each of the last two games for Tech and in the win over VMI, scored 11 points to register his first career double-figure scoring game.
