THE HOKIES (16-7, 5-6)
The Hokies enter the game 16-7 overall and 5-6 in ACC action. Tech lost at Miami, 74-68, on Wednesday night in Coral Gables. Justin Robinson led five Hokies in double figures with 15 points. Zach LeDay recorded his third double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

THE CAVALIERS (18-5, 8-3)
Virginia enters the game 18-5 overall and 8-3 in league play. The Cavaliers, ranked 12th in the AP poll and 13th in the USA Today coaches poll, defeated Louisville, 71-55, in Charlottesville on Monday night. London Perrantes leads the Cavaliers in scoring at 12.2 points per game and Marial Shayok is averaging 9.6 points per game. Virginia is coached by Tony Bennett, in his eighth season at UVa.

This is the 145th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Cavaliers lead the series, 90-54. Virginia defeated the Hokies, 71-48, in Charlottesville on Feb. 1. The two teams split the series last season, with each team winning at home. Tech is 28-21 in home games against UVa and 15-7 in games in Cassell Coliseum. Virginia Tech is 9-17 against the Cavaliers since joining the ACC in the 2004-05 season.
