THE HOKIES (18-7, 7-6)
The Hokies enter the game 18-7 overall and 7-6 in ACC action. Tech defeated Pittsburgh, 66-63, in the Petersen Events Center on Wednesday night. Ahmed Hill led four Hokies in double figures with 17 points. Zach LeDay recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

THE CARDINALS (21-5, 9-4)
Louisville enters the game 21-5 overall and 9-4 in league play. The Cardinals, ranked 8th in the AP poll and 7th in the USA Today coaches poll, defeated Syracuse, 76-72, in the Carrier Dome on Monday night. Donovan Mitchell leads the Cardinals in scoring at 15.2 points per game and Quentin Snider is averaging 12.2 points per game. Louisville is coached by Rick Pitino, in his 16th season at Louisville.

The Cardinals lead the series, 30-8. Louisville has won the last 11 meetings, including both since joining the ACC in the 2014-15 season. Louisville won 91-83 in Cassell Coliseum last season. Tech is 3-15 in road games against Louisville and 0-1 in games at the KFC Yum! Center. Although big rivals during the old Metro Conference days, the two teams did not meet between 1995 and 2015.
