Hokies Tie for Tournament Title

    GREENVILLE, NC - The Virginia Tech golf team tied with Virginia Commonwealth to capture the Pepsi/Bradford Creek Intercollegiate title Saturday.

    Tech recorded rounds of 281-290 - 571 to tie with Virginia Commonwealth who tallied rounds of 279-292 - 571.

    Johnson Wagner and Brian Krusoe were the Hokies' top finishers, tied for 2nd. Wagner shot two under par with rounds of 70-72 - 142. Krusoe also shot two under par, but with rounds of 71-71 - 142.

    Eric Reynolds tied for 10th place with rounds of 70-74 - 144. Brendon de Jonge shot one over par as he tied for 17th place with rounds of 70-75 - 145.

    The Hokies will return to action Monday, March 20 when they compete in the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship in Aiken, South Carolina.
