Wagner, de Jonge Named All-Region
    Duo honored at Awards Dinner

    COLUMBUS, Oh. - Virginia Tech's Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge were named to the PING All-South Region team at the Golf Coaches Association of America's National Awards Dinner in Columbus, Ohio on Monday night.

    Wagner, a senior from Garrison, N.Y. and de Jonge, a junior from Harare, Zimbabwe, were two of 15 players selected to the team. Players were selected by the GCAA Division I All-America Committee for their outstanding play during the 2001-02 season.

    Wagner and de Jonge will compete with their Virginia Tech teammates in the 2002 NCAA Golf Championship at the OSU Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio starting on Wednesday morning. Tech finished eighth in last season's championship.
