Hokies Complete NCAA Preparations
    Tech tees off Wednesday morning

    DURHAM, N.C. - Virginia Tech played through rain showers Tuesday morning in completing its final practice round prior to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. The tournament tees off Wednesday morning at the Duke University Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina.

    The Hokies open play Wednesday morning at 7 a.m., grouped with Oregon State and Oklahoma State. The second round will be played Thursday and the top 15 teams advance to the final two rounds, Friday and Saturday.

    Tech enters the event as the 17th seed. The Hokies qualified for the event by tying for fifth place at the East Regional, held May 17-19 at Golden Horseshoe Golf Course in Williamsburg, Virginia.

    Tickets for the event are available at the gate. Tickets are $5 each day for Wednesday and Thursday and $8 each day for Friday and Saturday. A four-day ticket is $20.
