Rogge Named to All-Freshmen Team
    Newcomer receives national recognition

    BLACKSBURG, Va. - Midfielder Peer Rogge of the Virginia Tech men's soccer team was named to the 2002 All-Freshmen First Team. Rogge was named to the site's national team of the week on Oct. 14.

    Rogge, a native of Schleswig, Germany, starred in the midfield in only his first season at Tech. He led the team in assists with eight and tied for second in points scored with 16. Rogge's assist total tied him for seventh in the South Atlantic region and was third-best in the BIG EAST. He earned conference Rookie of the Week honors on Oct. 14.

    Rogge's selection to the All-Freshmen team is the most recent addition to the newcomer's list of post-season accolades. He also earned third-team All-South Atlantic Region honors and first-team All-Virginia recognition.
