Hokies Fall To Highlanders
Myers nets lone goal for Hokies

RADFORD, Va.-- The Virginia Tech menās soccer team fell to the Radford Highlanders, 4-1, at Dedmon Stadium.

Ryan Caton opened the scoring for Radford at the 9:16 mark. Mike Adeyerni followed at the 9:57 mark with the Highlanders second goal.

Radfordās Michael Van Essen, assisted by T.J. Rolfing, netted the third goal of the night for the Highlanders at the 13:09 mark.

Techās Drew Myers (High Point, N.C.), assisted by Jeremy Parsels (Woodbridge, Va.), netted the Hokies lone goal at the 17:09 mark.

T.J. Rolfing would net the final goal of the game for the Highlanders at the 87:10 mark.

Tech tallied 14 shots, nine corner kicks, and 21 fouls. Radford totaled 11 shots, five corner kicks, and 25 fouls.

Hokie goalkeeper Ben Pinkerton (Blacksburg, Va.) played 90 minutes in goal with four goals allowed and three saves.

With the loss the Hokies fall to 4-4. Tech will return to action on Sunday, September 26 when they travel to George Washington University. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
