Hokies Top St. Joseph's, 2-1, In Season Finale
    Men's soccer finishes the regular season with an 11-8 overall record.

    PHILADELPHIA - The Virginia Tech men's soccer team ended the 1999 season when it defeated St. Joseph's University, 2-1, Sunday.

    Brain Geary netted the first goal of the match for St. Joseph's at the 5:34 mark.

    Tech's Drew Myers (High Point, N.C.) answered with a goal at the 31:12 mark off assists from Fred Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Innocent Wamey (Cameron, West Africa).

    Jeremy Parsels followed with the second Tech goal at the 65:38 mark.

    Tech tallied 16 shots, four corner kicks, three saves and 19 fouls. St. Joseph's totaled 10 shots, two corner kicks, nine saves and 20 fouls.

    With the win, the Hokies end the season at 11-8 overall and 7-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
