NORFOLK, Va. - In Virginia Tech's first of two preseason exhibitions, the Hokies and Monarchs of Old Dominion played to a 1-1 draw Saturday evening at the ODU Soccer Stadium.

Overtime was not played in the exhibition.

Tech's senior keeper, Chase Harrison, played the entire match and recorded six saves on the evening to Connelly's five.

The Hokies hit the road for their final preseason exhibition on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 3 p.m., at Appalachian State. Tech opens the regular season on Friday, Sept. 2 at 5 p.m., against Towson at the James Madison Tournament.
