BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech men's soccer team defeated High Point 3-2 last weekend.

The Hokies created several opportunities in the match, but could only convert them on three occasions. Tech was led by two freshmen. Patrick Nyarko scored two goals while Scott Dillie chipped in the Hokies' other goal.

Tech's coaching staff played everyone and got a good effort out of the team overall.

The Hokies return to the pitch Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Virginia Tech Soccer Stadium in the alumni game. It is the last contest of the spring season.

After the game, the team will gather for a banquet from 6:30-9 p.m., in the South End Zone of Lane Stadium.
