BLACKSBURG, Va. - Both the Virginia Tech men's and women's soccer teams will be showcased live this season on the Fox Soccer Channel as part of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's College Match of the Week series.

The Hokies kick off the men's coverage against Tulsa at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 14 in Tulsa, Okla., as part of the Great Western Plaza Hurricane Classic.

"We are absolutely delighted that the NSCAA and Fox Soccer Channel has included Virginia Tech into their television package for the upcoming season," head men's coach Oliver Weiss said. "It's a tremendous honor and a great opportunity for our program to showcase our players in front of a national audience."

The women's team will have the spotlight at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 18, when they visit Virginia. The contest for bragging rights in the state was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., but was pushed back one hour for the coverage.

"The staff and players are very excited to be a part of the network's coverage along with the Virginia women's soccer team," head women's coach Kelly Cagle said. "This will be a great occasion to get our squad out on the national scene and also show how deep women's soccer is in the Atlantic Coast Conference."

The Fox Soccer Channel is a national network within the Fox Networks Group devoted to year-round coverage of top international and domestic soccer competitions. The channel will broadcast a total of 20 collegiate soccer matches this year. The network currently reaches more than 31 million cable and satellite households in the U.S. and Caribbean.
