Dillie and Gilson receive post-season accolades
The duo capture honorable mention awards for their work in the classroom

BLACKSBURG, Va.- Senior Scott Dillie and junior James Gilson received 2008 NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-East Region Honorable Mention honors for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. Earlier this season, Gilson was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III Second Team.

Dillie ends his career at Tech with 10 goals and 23 total points. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native, started 22 contests and participated in 64 matches in his four years for the Hokies. The departing senior adds his fifth academic accolade during his tenure which includes ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III First and Second Team honors and is a two-time ACC All-Academic Team recipient.

Gilson led the Hokies in scoring, tying for the team lead in goals with six and registered a team high four assists to total 16 points this season. The Greenwood Lake, N.Y. native started in 18 contests this year for Tech and saw action in 50 matches in his three seasons.
