    Game open to the public

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men’s soccer team will be hosting an open intrasquad scrimmage at Thompson Field on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. to give Hokie fans another chance to see the team in action before the regular season kicks off.

The Hokies are coming off of a 5-0 win in their first exhibition against the Liberty Flames. In that game, newcomers Brandon Eaton and Leon Ungewickel and returnees Kai Marshall and Cameron Owens scored goals for Tech.

The intrasquad scrimmage will feature several returnees as well as newcomers that will be vying for starting spots prior to the regular-season opener against Binghamton at the JMU Tournament on Aug. 30.
