TULSA, Okla. - Andreas Laulund saw his collegiate career come to an end Thursday afternoon with a heart-breaking 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2) loss against 14th-ranked Bo Hodge (Georgia) in the Round of 32 at the NCAA Singles Championships.

In Thursday's match, Laulund won the first set 6-3 with a dominating serve and the two battled to 5-6 in the second set. The Tech senior, serving into the wind, was broken to lose the set.
The third set was a battle as neither player lost his serve forcing the tie-breaker in which Laulund fell behind early and could not recover. He concludes his career with an outstanding 93-36 singles mark, winning 72.1 percent of his singles contests.
"I thought Andreas hit the ball extremely well and competed at a high level against one of the best players in the nation," said Tech head coach Jim Thompson. "He saved his best tennis for last and represented our program and the university well today."
