Llamas is the seventh overall seed in the tournament. Last year, Contini dropped his first round match, 7-6 (5), 6-3, to 15th-ranked Matija Pecotic of Princeton.

Llamas, a sophomore, posted a record of 19-4 in duals this season. He was named to the All-Big 12 men’s tennis team in both singles and doubles. Last year, Llamas appeared on the All-Big 12 team in addition to being named the conference’s co-Freshman of the Year.

Virginia Tech and Oklahoma met in the regular season at the ITA Kick-Off weekend in Norman, Okla., but Contini and Llamas did not meet on the court.
