Online version of May's Inside Hokie Sports now available

BLACKSBURG – The May issue of Inside Hokie Sports for the 2017-18 academic year has been mailed, and Wednesday, the staff launched the latest interactive online version that is free to all fans.

To access the new online version, please click here to get to Inside Hokie Sports’ new web page on and then click where it says, “Read Current Issue.” The online format includes the implementation of videos, and it allows readers to bookmark articles, start a slideshow, and share through one’s social media outlets, along with more.

Past issues can easily be accessed by clicking the links at the bottom of the web page, and comments can be emailed using the form in the bottom right-hand corner. Please feel free to reach out with comments about the magazine or ideas for content.

This May issue of Inside Hokie Sports includes a wrap-up of spring football practice, with a review of each position and how players performed over the course of 15 NCAA-allotted practices. This issue also includes features on men’s golf Mark Lawrence Jr., women’s track and field All-American Rachel Pocratsky and standout baseball pitcher Connor Coward. In addition, there Tech’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) did some cool outreach projects this year, and one of Tech’s team physicians played a critical part in a recent revolutionary blood test that diagnoses concussions. Plus, there are columns from Jimmy Robertson and Jon Laaser and more.
