Virginia Tech offensive coordinator previews the 2008 spring game and what he's looking at this week from his running backs, offensive line, and receivers. "This is a big spring for guys like Danny Coale, Patrick Terry, and Zack Luckett who need to step up because there are some big shoes to fill," Stinespring said. Also who is the one key offensive lineman to watch? The coach has details. Also, a look back at the 2007 Virginia Tech football plays of the year. Episode 33 - March 13th, 2008
From Charlotte, NC, this Hokie Podcast previews the 2008 ACC Tournament. Newport News (Va.) Daily Press Columnist David Teel offers his thoughts on the tournament. David is covering his 25th consecutive ACC Tournament. "Virginia Tech and Maryland have the most at stake," David suggests. Also, the consensus is that for Tech or Maryland to reach the NCAA Tournament, the Hokies or Terps would need to win two games here in Charlotte. Also, Tech freshman J.T. Thompson is playing in his first ACC Tournament, near his hometown. "I grew up watching this event, and now I'm in it," Thompson said with a big grin. Also, N.C. State coach Sidney Lowe and Miami's Frank Haith share insight on their 2:30 p.m. matchup today. The winner will face the Hokies tomorrow. And Tech radio network analyst Mike Burnop offers his comments as well.

Episode 32 - March 7th, 2008
Virginia Tech’s basketball team has put together its longest winning streak of the season - at just the right time. The Hokies have won four straight to improve to 9-6 in the ACC, and 18-11 overall. In Tech’s 80-58 win over Wake Forest on Tuesday, Deron Washington scored 22 points and recorded 13 rebounds in a memorable Senior Night performance. We’ll hear from Washington as well as head coach Seth Greenberg whose team faces Clemson Sunday afternoon in South Carolina.

Episode 28 - February 7th, 2008
Virginia Tech football recruiting is the focus of today’s Hokie Podcast. Hokie assistant coach and Recruiting Coordinator Jim Cavanaugh runs down Tech’s 2008 class in depth. Three of the top five players in the state of Virginia, and 14 of the top 25, highlight a football recruiting class composed of 31 student-athletes who signed letters-of-intent with Virginia Tech on Wednesday. Highlighting this year's in-state group are three players - Dyrell Roberts (#3 by Roanoke Times), Ryan Williams (#4 by Roanoke Times) and Vinston Painter (#5 by Roanoke Times) - who all earned SuperPrep All-America honors. The Tech coaching staff put heavy emphasis on the receiver and linebacker positions, led by linebacker Bruce Taylor, from Myrtle Beach, S.C. He is ranked the No. 12 inside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com and earned All-America honors from PrepStar. Painter and Ryan Williams also earned All-America honors from PrepStar.

Virginia Tech Coach Seth Greenberg discusses tonight's game between the Hokies and Duke Blue Devils. He also comments at-length on the ACC's suspension of Tech freshman forward Jeff Allen who will miss tonight's game with Duke as well as Saturday's game at Boston College. "I'm very proud of where we are with this young group," Greenberg said about his team which features six freshmen. The coach also discusses his conversations with former N.C. State Coach Herb Sendek on game planning vs. the Blue Devils.

Kansas coach Mark Mangino joins Bill and Mike on today's Hokie Podcast to discuss the game, and talk about his high school days in New Castle, Pa, where he played on the same high school team as ex-Hokies Nick Rapone, Rick Razzano, and John Latina. Today, Mangino still keeps in touch with his ex-high school buddies who have mixed emotions for this game tonight. "I think Rick is really torn on this one," Mangino said with a big laugh. Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan discusses next Thursday's game between No. 3 BC and No. 11 Virginia Tech. "It's tough. Bud Foster does a great job coaching those guys up. They have a really strong defense and you have to keep grinding. It's a tough place to go down and play, especially on a Thursday night. to go there and play a night game, the place is rockin'," Ryan says. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech's men's soccer team moved up to No. 5 in the national rankings this week, riding an 11-game unbeaten streak heading into Friday's game vs. North Carolina. Head Coach Oliver Weiss has the Hokies on pace for another NCAA Appearance. Weiss discusses this year's team and Friday's home game vs. UNC.

Virginia Tech linebacker Xavier Adibi comments on Saturday night’s game between the Hokies and LSU. “I came to Virginia Tech to play in games like this.” Adibi also shares his thoughts on LSU’s offense and game in general. Tech offensive tackle Duane Brown has a prediction: “If you can’t run the ball against them, you won’t have much success.” Duane will share his perspective on the game. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady placed a phone call to Tech quarterback Sean Glennon. “I thought he did a great job leading the team, and I just conveyed my thoughts from watching the game," Brady said. Also, the “Golden Band from Tigerland” has a tribute to Virginia Tech before Saturday night’s game. And the details on why Tech will wear its home uniforms on Saturday at LSU.
