RADIO PROGRAMMING
Davenport & Company Virginia Tech Sports Quiz: Every weekday, test your
knowledge of Virginia Tech Sports with the Davenport & Company Virginia Tech
Sports Quiz. Each day, a new question about Tech football or basketball
will challenge your knowledge of the Hokies! The programs air every
weekday from mid-August through the end of March and are presented by
Davenport & Company, LLC, Virginia's First Investment Firm.
Davenport & Company College Football Digest: This football pre-game show
begins 90-minutes prior to kickoff of every Tech football game and
features Bill Roth, Mike Burnop, Adam Witten, and Tech Director of
Athletics Jim Weaver. The four preview
the game and cover the latest news from around the Tech athletics scene,
the ACC and the nation. The
Davenport & Company "Bull & Bear Report" covers who's hot... and who's not in
college football.
Advance Auto Parts Hokies Countdown: The perfect tailgating
companion, the Hokies Countdown clock begins ticking 60-minutes prior to
kickoff. Get the latest news from around The ACC, hear from Tech
coach Frank Beamer and the opposing
head coach. Each week, we flashback to a great moment in Virginia Tech
football history, plus the weekly Kroger Roth Report, leads up to the
opening kickoff.
Game Broadcasts: Bill Roth and Mike Burnop team up again to bring
home the action of all Tech football games. The two combine to form one
of football's longest-running broadcasting tandems, having called every
Tech game since the 1980's. A combination of excitement and wit make
Tech games fun to hear, win or lose!
The Kroger Point After: After the game, the fun is just
beginning! The Kroger Point After combines listener telephone calls,
locker room interviews, and scores updates form the fastest 90-minutes
on radio. If you're a Tech fan, the Kroger Point After is a can't-miss
following every game (and it makes the drive home a lot shorter too!)
Advance Auto Parts Hokie Hotline: Every Monday night from 7-9
p.m., Tech coach Frank Beamer joins Bill Roth and other guests for
two hours of Tech talk. The state-wide radio program features weekly
appearances by Tech Director of Athletics Jim Weaver, as well as
coordinator's Bryan Stinespring and Bud Foster. It's our own brand of
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.
