Austin Out For Season
Tech cornerback Larry Austin is out for the remainder of the season
after an MRI Tuesday morning revealed that Austin tore the anterior
cruciate ligament in his left knee. Austin, a redshirt junior, went down
with the injury on Tech's second defensive possession and never returned to
the game. He injured the knee while trying to tackle BC tailback Cedric
Washington on a 19-yard run early in the game.
Eric Green, a true freshman from Clewiston, Fla., is scheduled to start
against Temple.
Also, redshirt freshman tight end Seth Noonkester will have surgery
Friday to repair a torn ACL. Noonkester tore his in a practice at Rector
Fieldhouse while running down to cover a punt.
