Tech linebacker Jake Houseright and defensive tackle David Pugh are scheduled for surgery this week to fix various injuries. Houseright, a 6-foot-3, 235-pounder from Gate City, will have surgery Friday to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Houseright suffered the injury while trying to tackle Clemson quarterback Woody Dantzler in the Gator Bowl. Houseright will miss spring practice, but should be healed in time for fall practice.

Pugh, a 6-3, 271-pounder from Amherst, Va., is scheduled for arthroscopic surgery Thursday on his ankle. Pugh, who was bothered by the injury the latter half of the season, should be ready for spring practice.
