Tech linebacker Ben Taylor (#40) recorded a career-high 18 tackles in the Hokies' 45-28 drubbing over East Carolina last Thursday night in Greenville, N.C. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound junior had 11 solo tackles and seven assists and the junior leads the Hokies with 26 total tackles this season.

Taylor was named the Big East co-defensive player of the week along with Pittsburgh linebacker Bryan Knight, who recorded four sacks. In addition, Tech receiver André Davis was named the special teams player of the week after returning a punt 87 yards for a touchdown.
