A great No. 2 hitter who had a school-record 19 sacrifice bunts ... Finished 29

in the nation in sacrifice bunts per game ... Could always be counted on to put the bat on the ball, striking out just 15 times in 227 at bats ... Was third on the team in batting average with a .282 clip ... Had a career-high 64 hits, including seven doubles, one triple and 17 RBI ... Played in and started 68 of Tech's 69 games ...
