2012: After a slow start, played well in the second half of the season to finish with a .239 batting average … Played in 58 games, starting 44, either in left field (25) or right field (19) … Had two doubles, a triple and three home runs … Drove in 14 runs and scored 22 runs … Was second on the team with 11 stolen bases … Had eight multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games … Hit a grand slam in the sixth inning of the opening game of the ACC Championship against Maryland to break a 1-1 tie and lift Tech to the dramatic win … Made three appearances in the circle … Was credited with the win in Tech's exhibition victory over the Dutch National Team.
2011: A big contributor for the Hokies as a true freshman … Started 50 games, 48 in center field and two in right field … Finished the season with a .238 batting average … Recorded five doubles, two triples and six home runs while driving in 24 runs … Scored a team-high 38 runs for the Hokies … Led the team in stolen bases with 24, coming on 28 attempts … Made just three errors in 50 chances from the outfield with three assists … Drew 19 walks and had two sacrifice flies … Hit successfully in 17 of her first 22 games, including a seven game hitting streak (2/23-3/4) … Posted a seven-game scoring streak, scoring 13 runs (3/23-3/29) … Hit two home runs on 4/27 against Liberty.
High School: An All-American pitcher and shortstop who lettered four times at Beech High… Led her team to a state runner-up finish her final three years … Batted .420 for her career with 35 home runs in one of the toughest districts in the state of Tennessee, going 103-10 in the circle for her career with a 0.70 ERA … A three-time all-state player at shortstop and pitcher … A three-time Sumner County Player of the Year and three-time All Mid-State first-team honoree … Went 27-4 as a senior in the circle with a 1.12 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 187 innings pitched and hit .515 with 26 doubles, four triples, 15 home runs, 20 stolen bases, 71 runs scored and 81 RBI … Named a MaxPreps Softball All-American presented by Gatorade … Also a Gatorade State Player of the Year nominee who earned first-team all-state and Middle Tennessee Coaches’ Association first team honors as a pitcher … Named the Middle Tennessee Player of the Year by The Tennessean … Was the Sumner County Player of the Year and pitched in the Tennessee/Kentucky All-Star Game … As a junior, went 34-3 with 16 shutouts, 345 strikeouts and a 0.70 ERA in the circle … Also hit .418 with 13 doubles, four triples, five home runs and drove in 50 runs in earning first-team all-state honors … Played travel ball for the Tennessee Explosion Gold, where Brian Drake coached her.
