Thomas Honored at Convention
Hokies head man presented 300-win plaque

LAS VEGAS - Virginia Tech head softball coach Scot Thomas was honored last Saturday at the 2004 Easton Victory Club Awards Luncheon as part of the NFCA National Convention at the Las Vegas Hilton. Thomas was presented with a plaque commemorating his 300th career victory.

The banquet recognized coaches at the club, high school and collegiate levels for milestone victories. From the ACC, North Carolina coach Donna Papa and University of Virginia coach Cheryl Sprangel were honored for their 700 wins.

Thomas, who picked up his 300th win against Sprangel's Cavaliers, was honored in the 300-win club with big-name coaches Connie Clark of Texas, Glenn Moore of Baylor and John Rittman of Stanford.
