Hokies' Softball Broadcast Schedule Announced

The Virginia Tech Athletics Department, in conjunction with hokieTV.com, has announced the broadcast schedule for the 2006 Hokie softball program. At least 17 games will be broadcast by Jerry Massey on hokieTV.com, part of Tech's official Web site, hokiesports.com.

Massey, who worked with Radford's softball team last season and is the announcer for Tech's women's basketball team this year, will have the calls for Tech's second season on the air. In addition, fans can watch live streaming video of all 17 home games in conjuntion with Massey's call. All broadcasts and video are free to watch, but require the QuickTime program. Go to http://www.hokietv.com/technical.html for all the technical help.

Below is the tentative broadcast schedule, which begins with Wednesday's doubleheader between the Hokies and Highlanders. Broadcasts will begin approximately 10 minutes before the first scheduled pitch.

March 1: Radford (DH); 2 p.m.
March 18: Virginia (DH); Noon
March 19: Virginia; 1 p.m.
March 22: Marshall (DH); 2 p.m.
March 28: South Carolina (DH); 2 p.m.
April 15: North Carolina (DH); Noon
April 16: North Carolina; 1 p.m.
April 21: Florida State; 4 p.m.
April 22: Florida State (DH); Noon
May 4: Liberty (DH); 3 p.m.
