ATLANTA - The Virginia Tech softball team fell to Georgia Tech 3-2 Sunday afternoon at Glenn Field in the series finale. The Hokies won both games on Saturday to take the series.

The Yellow Jackets took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a pair of doubles and a sacrifice fly. The Hokies cut the lead in half in the third inning, scoring an unearned run. Alisia Narodowski reached on an error and scored on a triple by Callie Rhodes down the left field line.

In the sixth, the Hokies battled back to tie it up. Kelly Brown reached on a fielder's choice, moved to second on a groundout and to third on a wild pitch. She scored easily on Jessica Everhart's double to deep left field.

The Jackets took the lead back for good in the bottom of the sixth inning when Caitlin Lever's sacrifice fly to left scored Christine Sheridan.

At the plate, Tech had six hits coming from six different players - Rhodes, Erin Ota, Charisse Mariconda, Everhart, Narodowski and Beth Walker.

In the circle, Katie Maynard (L, 13-9) went 6.0 innings, giving up three earned runs on three hits while walking two and striking out one.
