BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Sports Information Department announced Friday that an interactive blog for Hokie All-American softball pitcher Angela Tincher has been launched. "Travels With Tinch" will give Tech fans a chance to keep up with the rising junior as she prepares for and competes in the 2006 World University Softball Championship in Tainan City, Taiwan.

Tincher, from Eagle Rock, Va., is one of 17 collegiate players selected by USA Softball to represent the United States in the WUC. She will leave for a training camp in Chula Vista, Calif., next week.

Fans can keep up with her thoughts on the preparations, the tournament and even her experiences in Taiwan through her blog. Tincher will update the Web site on a regular basis and will also send back photos to be posted. In addition, game stories and statistics from the tournament will also be posted here.

Fans will have the chance to ask Tincher questions and she will try to answer a few in each entry. Her updated bio, the tournament schedule, as well as facts on Taiwan are also featured on the site.
