McVay named new pitching coach
Former ETSU standout joins Tech staff

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech athletics department, along with head softball coach Scot Thomas, announced Tuesday the hiring of Tiffany McVay as the Hokies' new pitching coach.
McVay played collegiately at East Tennessee State University, where she was an all-conference player. She still holds the school's single-season records for lowest ERA, wins, saves, complete games and shutouts. McVay, who played from 2001-2004, has spent the past two years as a professional pitching coach in both Virginia and Tennessee.
