    Tom Booth
    Director, Football Coaching Video

    Responsibilities: Booth serves as the head of the football coaches video department. In his role, he meets all the needs of the football staff, from video cutups of practices and games to recruiting videos and highlight videos.

    Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2000

    At Virginia Tech: When he first came to Tech, Booth was an editor for Hokievision, which is all the video content on the video scoreboards at Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum. From 2005-13, he directed video scoreboard production on football game days. He also has assisted all other sports with any audiovisual needs, specifically Tech’s wrestling and softball programs.

    Prior to Virginia Tech: Booth worked at WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Va., as a news and sports videographer before coming to Tech. While there, he cut and edited packages of on-air content, while also occasionally filling in as a sports anchor.

    Education: Virginia Tech, 1996 (B.A. in communication)

    Personal: A native of Erwin, Tenn., Booth has enjoyed Tech sports since he was a kid and has been coming to football games since he was 6 years old. He and his wife, Derley, live in Christiansburg, Va.
