Responsibilities: Davis’ responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and donors to the Hokie Club.

At Virginia Tech: In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, Davis also serves as the liaison for several Hokie Clubs throughout the state and in Maryland. The list of areas includes Fredericksburg, Winchester, Battlefield, Northern Virginia, Loudoun County, Prince William, Fauquier County, Buchanan County, and Franklin County. Joined the Hokie Club in 2005.

Prior to Virginia Tech: Davis worked as an Graduate Assistant  for men’s basketball at Virginia Tech 1990 - 1992, Assistant men’s basketball coach at Longwood College from 1992 - 1995 and Assistant/ Associate Athletics Director at Virginia Military Institute from 1999 - 2005.

Education: Virginia Tech, B.S. marketing management (1990) and 1993 (master’s in sports management)

Of Note: Davis played basketball at Virginia Tech from 1986-90. Following his graduation from Tech in 1990, he got into the coaching profession, serving as an assistant at Tech under both Bill Foster and Bobby Hussey from 1995-99. Inducted into the Ashe County Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.

Personal: A native of Warrensville, N.C., Davis and his wife, Catie, and their two sons, Sam and Austin, live in Blacksburg. Enjoys spending time with his family, being involved with his church and golfing.
