Job responsibilities: Durkin works as a front-line customer service representative, representing Virginia Tech athletics.

Joined VT Athletics: 2015.

 Prior to Virginia Tech: Durkin worked as a box office assistant for the Salem Red Sox, a minor league baseball team in Salem, Virginia. She also worked for the Traverse City Beach Bums, an independent team in Michigan. In addition, she served as a student worker in the Michigan State athletics communications.

Education: Michigan State University, 2012 (B.S. in kinesiology); Central Michigan University, 2015 (Masters in athletic administration).

Personal: Durkin moved to Roanoke, Virginia from Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2014.

Fun Fact: Lived in Madrid, Spain for a summer.

Q: What most excites you about your work in the ticket office and the contribution you make?
AD: Assisting fans and helping to create a memorable experience for them while attending Virginia Tech athletics events.

Q: In your work or creative process, what concepts are most sacred to you and why?
AD: Working hard to produce a good product.

Q: What are one to three words that best encapsulate who you are?
AD: Excited to Learn.

Q: Name the five songs that would best describe the soundtrack of your life?
AD: Enter Sandman, American Kids, Knee Deep, Raised on It, Bama Breeze.

Q: Who is the one person, dead or alive, you would most like to have a conversation with and why?
AD: Erin Andrews to find out how she got to where she is today.

Q: What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
AD: College sports.

Q: Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
AD: Spending time outdoors, traveling, watching college sports.

AD: Time with family and friends.

Q: What is the No. 1 item at the top of your bucket list currently?
AD: To travel.

AD: Minored in Spanish.
