Galbraith Q&A

Q: What most excites you about your work in the ticket office and the contribution you make?
CG: What excites me most about working in the ticket office is having an impact on Virginia Tech’s athletics department. I’ve always admired the athletics department and wanted to emulate their personnel. Also, I like meeting recruits, coaches, and staff and representing Virginia Tech!

Q: In your work or creative process, what concepts are most sacred to you and why?
CG: I preach about always bettering yourself, always wanting to improve and learning new skills. If you don’t have anything new to learn, become the very best at what you currently do.

Q: Who is the one person, dead or alive, you would most like to have a conversation with and why?

CG: Whit Babcock to talk about his career path and how he became athletics director at Virginia Tech. What kind of positions he has held in the past and stories of his experience in those roles. Talking about what he does every day to be successful. What some of his toughest decisions are and about his role now as athletics director and what he wants to accomplish.

Q: What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
CG: I love sports. I know just enough about any kind of sport, especially anything Virginia Tech or about former Virginia Tech athletes. I also really enjoy business, successful leaders and new inventions. I love the show Shark Tank.

Q: Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
CG: At the gym, watching Netflix, or trying out a new restaurant.

Q: What would be impossible for you to give up?

Q: What is the No. 1 item at the top of your bucket list currently?
CG: Go to a baseball game at every MLB stadium.

Q: Any other fun facts or unique things about you?
CG: My favorite teams are Virginia Tech football and basketball, Texas Tech football, Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants, and the San Antonio Spurs.
