  • Graduate Assistant, Player Personnel

John Iezzi enters his second season with the Virginia Tech football program as a graduate assistant for player personnel. Iezzi is responsible for the Hokies prospect database, hosting and planning official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes, producing recruiting materials and assisting in the development of the program’s brand on social media.

A 2015 graduate of Virginia Tech, Iezzi worked as a recruiting assistant with the Hokies during his senior year. His hard work and knowledge of the modern recruiting landscape led to his promotion as a graduate assistant.

Iezzi previously wrote for 247sports.com from March 2012 to January 2014 where he reported on Tech athletics and recruiting. The Richmond, Virginia native was also the co-founder of Caradonna Sports and Entertainment, a grassroots baseball agency that was established in August 2011. With Caradonna, Iezzi assisted in the representation of 11 minor league baseball players and was responsible for all prospect evaluation, scouting reports, recruiting materials and other duties for his clients.

Iezzi earned his degree in finance from Tech and is an alum of Deep Run HS.
