Eric Morrill is in his second year as the volunteer assistant coach for the Hokie wrestling program. He recently completed a successful collegiate career at Edinboro University, where he was a top-flight lightweight wrestler. The Sandown, N.H., native was a three-time NCAA National qualifier who posted a 90-45 record for his career.
After wrestling his first three seasons at 125 pounds, Morrill bumped up to 133 pounds for his senior season, where he went 24-10 and qualified for Nationals. After posting a 35-26 record over his first two seasons, Morrill redshirted in 2008-09 before returning to the mat for his final two seasons. As a junior, he went 31-9 and finished third at the EWL Championships.
Morrill will assist with on-mat training with the lightweights, and will also help out with various other duties with the Tech program.
