The Skelton Award is presented each year to one male and one female
student-athlete who have an overall grade point average of 3.40 or
better. To be eligible a student-athlete must be have participated in
two competitive seasons at Virginia Tech. Students who receive the
Skelton scholarship excel in academics, leadership, athletics and are
active in community outreach. The recipients of the award receive a
$5,000 scholarship donated by Dr. Bill and Peggy Skelton.
