Hawkins, Kline qualify for the AT&T National Diving Championships
Hawkins wins men's platform, Kline takes second on the women's side

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Several divers of the Virginia Tech swimming and diving program competed this weekend at the USA Diving National Zone Championships for a chance to qualify for the AT&T National Diving Championships in Greensboro, N.C. on August 14-19. Ryan Hawkins and Logan Kline will join Logan Shinholser and Kelli Stockton, who prequalified, at the championships next month.

The USA Diving National Zone Championships are divided into four zones to provide the best divers in the nation a chance to qualify for the AT&T National Diving Championships.

Hawkins shined at the Zone B championships in Moultrie, Ga., as he took home the title in the platform event and placed fourth in the 3-meter event. Kline accompanied Hawkins in Moultrie, Ga., and took home second place on the platform and placed fourth in the 3-meter event to earn a spot at the national championships.

Shinholser and Stockton both prequalified from their performances at the 2011 AT&T National Diving Championships last year.
