Senior honored for winning the FSU Relays

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia Tech senior Spyridon Jullien was the male Atlantic Coast Conference performer of the week for his efforts at the Florida State Relays last weekend.
Jullien, the defending national champion in the hammer throw, won the event with a mark of 70.62m (231'8") in his first competition of the outdoor season.
A native of Athens, Greece, Jullien's mark is the furthest recorded in the nation this season. It is also just five feet off his school record of 238'5" (72.68m), which he set in 2005.
