KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Javjeniy Olhovsky finished as the runner-up in the invitational section of the men's pole vault to highlight the Virginia Tech track & field squad's final day at the Sea Ray Relays Saturday in LaPorte Stadium.

The 33rd-ranked men's team was led by Olhovsky, the sophomore finished as the top collegiate in the invitational section of the men's pole vault with an outdoor season-best effort of 17'6.5" (5.35m). Jared Jodon followed in fourth place with a personal-best-tying height of 17'0.75" (5.20m), while Joe Davis registered a ninth-place height of 16'6.75" (5.05m). Former Hokie Brian Mondschein placed first with a height of 17'10.5" (5.45m), while competing for Vertical Technique.

Igor Misljenovic won the open section of the discus throw with a personal-best effort of 180'0" (54.86m), taking the event crown by exactly four feet over the runner-up. Misljenovic then turned in a third-place finish in the open section of the men's shot put with an outdoor season-best mark of 54'4.5" (16.57m). Matej Muza also finished third in the invitational section of the hammer throw with a regional-qualifying distance of 220'4" (67.17m).

On the women's side, Brittany Pryor finished ninth in the invitational section of the women's discus with a distance of 152'5" (46.47m). Pryor also led the way for Tech in the shot put with a sixth-place effort of 54'0" (16.46m), while Erika Schroeder finished 12th with a mark of 47'2.5" (14.39m). Tech administrative assistant Cleopatra Borel-Brown competed for Trinidad & Tobago and won the event with a mark of 61'8.5" (18.81m), which was more than four feet longer than the nearest competitor.

The Hokies' women's team will look to repeat as Atlantic Coast Conference outdoor champions when the conference meet begins Thursday in Atlanta, Ga.
