Vick Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

For the sixth time in his short career, quarterback Michael Vick was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week on Sept. 18 by the conference office. Vick led his team to a 49-0 win over Rutgers last Saturday.
The redshirt sophomore from Newport News, Va., posted a game-high 104 rushing yards with one touchdown on 11 carries, a 9.5 average.
He also completed 10-of-18 passes for 120 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.
His totals came in just over one half of play, as Tech jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead.
Vick has rushed for over 100 yards in two of three games this season and has recorded 9.2 yards per play.
