Vick got an interesting phone call on Friday at the team's practice at Veterans Stadium. As Tech prepared to run through a short workout, Vick was on a cellular phone with McNabb, who is now with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Former Tech student trainer Chris Peduzzi - now with the Eagles - arranged for the two to speak for the first time since McNabb hosted Vick on his recruiting visit to Syracuse two years ago. It was just a short pep talk, but it must've worked. Vick totaled a McNabb-like 305 yards in the Hokies' win over the Owls, running for two touchdowns and throwing for two others.
