What Vick Did
vs. Temple
Michael Vick rushed for a score and threw for another as the Hokies downed
Temple, 35-13, Saturday at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field.
Vick rushed for 55 yards and had a 5-yard scoring run and threw for 162
yards on 14-of-28 passing. He hit fullback Cullen Hawkins for a 41-yard
scoring toss.
Vick didn't have his best day as he tossed two interceptions, was sacked
four times and fumbled three times. Nevertheless, Vick led the Hokies to
another victory. The redshirt sophomore is now 15-1 as a starter in two
years.
"I wouldn't say I had a bad day, but some things just weren't clicking for
us," Vick said. "I didn't have my best day, but we still found a way to win
and that's a credit to this team."
Vick and the Hokies (5-0, 3-0 BIG EAST) are back in action this Thursday,
hosting West Virginia at 8 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on
ESPN.
