What Vick Did
vs. Virginia
Michael Vick returned from an ankle injury for the Virginia game. He then left the game after re-injuring the ankle in the first quarter. This time, though, Vick returned and came up big as the Hokies downed UVa, 42-21, Saturday night at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field.
Vick, who left the game early after re-spraining his right ankle on an option play, returned a few series later to lead the Hokies to victory.
The Newport News, Va., native, who went 16 of 23 passing, had a 23-yard touchdown pass to Lee Suggs in the third quarter to seal the game. Vick finished with 202 yards passing and completed 69.5 percent of his passes Ü a season high. Vick had five rushes for 28 yards in the game.
Vick improves to 19-1 as a starter. Tech finishes the regular season with a record of 10-1 and now awaits word on what bowl it will play in.
