Kevin Hicks

Director of Broadcasting and Visual Media

Kevin Hicks is in his 12th year in the video office. After spending three years working in the office as a student himself, Hicks was hired in May of 1998 as assistant video coordinator and is now Director of Broadcasting and Visual Media for the athletic department.

As director, Hicks has numerous duties. Supervising students, helping coaches with video to prepare for upcoming games, producing highlight videos for each sport and running the video board at Lane Stadium are just a few of Hicks's responsibilities. He is constantly working to make sure Tech has state-of-the-art video equipment.

Hicks is a 1998 grad of Virginia Tech and currently resides in Blacksburg with his wife and daughter.

Tom Booth

Director of Video Operations

Tom Booth came to the Athletic Video Office at Virginia Tech from WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Va. where he was a news and sports videographer. He has worked in the Video Department since September 2000, first as an editor for HokieVision. Currently Booth works with different aspects of video for the entire Athletic Department. During home football game days, his primary responsibility is directing what is seen on the video board.

Booth grew up in a Hokie family and has been an avid fan of Tech athletics since he was a child, attending Tech football games since he was 3 years old. He is a 1996 graduate of the Department of Communication at Virginia Tech. Booth and his wife reside in Christiansburg.
