Volleyball Falls To Jackets At Georgia Tech Tournament
Tech's Disser picks up six kills in 3-0 loss.

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Virginia Tech volleyball squad opened the second day of play at the Georgia Tech Courtyard by Marriott Classic with a 3-0 loss to Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga. Tech falls to 1-6 while the Yellow Jackets improve to 4-2. Game scores were 15-2, 15-8, 15-2.
The Hokies were led by Holly Disser (Overland Park, Kan.), who had six kills. As a team, VT hit .039 for the match. Georgia Tech hit .452
In Game 1, with the game tied at one, GT went on a 11-0 run en route to a 15-2 win. The Jackets put down six aces, led by Maja Pachale's five, in the game. In Game 2, the Yellow Jackets raced out to a 12-0 lead before Disser's kill made it 12-1. Tech cut the lead to 13-7, but could get no closer as GT went on to win Game 2, 15-8. In Game 3, the Jackets hit .445 as a team and won, 15-2.
Tech will battle the South Carolina Gamecocks tonight at 7:30 in the final match of the Courtyard by Marriott Classic.
