The Hokies scored four of the next six points to extend the margin to 10-7. The game remained close until a kill by Lang made the score 17-14 in favor of Tech. The Hokies continued to take advantage of Pirate errors and use strong hitting to extend their lead. A kill by sophomore Annie Spicer (Barrington, Ill.) pushed the score to 23-18, and the Hokies never looked back, winning game two, 30-23.

Tech, looking to close out the match, came out hot in the third game. The Hokies built a quick 9-5 lead that the Pirates were never able to overcome. Kills by Jenny Hill (Holland, Mich.), Sarah Rogers (Marietta, Ga.) and Lang helped the Hokies open up a 18-9 lead. Seton Hall got as close as one, 23-22, before the Hokies pulled away. A kill by Lang wrapped up game three, 30-25, and the match for Tech.
