With the win, the Huskies improve to 11-12, 6-2 in the BIG EAST. The loss drops Tech to 16-9, 6-2 in the conference and snaps the Hokies' seven-match win streak.

Game one saw Connecticut jump out to an early 9-4 lead. The Hokies battled back, and a kill by Annie Spicer (Barrington, Ill.) brought Tech within one, 23-22. However, the Hokies were not able to sustain the momentum, dropping game one, 30-26.
