Volleyball sweeps Tribe 3-0
Hokies to face East Carolina at 7 p.m.

GREENVILLE, N.C. - New head coach Chris Riley is off to a 2-0 start with his Virginia Tech volleyball team after the Hokies rolled by William & Mary 3-0 (30-27, 30-20, 30-20) at the East Carolina Tournament Saturday morning.
Senior Katie Esbrook led the way with 11 kills and a deadly .643 attack percentage, while freshman Taylor Parrish followed up her strong Friday performance with another 10 kills. Sophomore Sarah Muņoz just missed out on back-to-back double-doubles with nine kills and 10 digs. Freshman setter Michelle Lang dished out 41 assists.
The Tech defense was strong, holding the William & Mary (0-2) offense to a .072 attack percentage, including a -.047 mark in the third game. Junior Amanda Cloyd added 13 digs, while senior Kendra Sytsma chipped in with 11. Esbrook (four block assists, one solo) and junior Jen Albrecht (four block assists) led the charge at the net.
